Audio Activities
In this section, all the audio activities will be described.
1. Speaking Practice Activity – Rules and Beliefs Using Modal Verbs
For this activity, I recorded an audio in which I talked about personal beliefs, rules, and obligations that I believe are important to achieve success in both academic and professional environments. The purpose of the activity was to practice speaking skills in English while using modal verbs such as must, should, have to, and may in context.
In the recording, I shared general guidelines and responsibilities that I consider essential, even though I don’t yet have professional experience. I emphasized the importance of actions like arriving on time, communicating clearly, meeting deadlines, taking initiative, and giving or receiving feedback in the workplace.
I also spoke about the academic context, mentioning the importance of attending classes regularly, joining on time to virtual sessions, meeting deadlines, participating in group discussions, and avoiding plagiarism. I highlighted the need to manage time effectively to maintain a healthy balance between studying and rest.

2. Speaking Activity – Audio about Flexibility and Adaptability
For this activity I created and recorded an audio to practice my speaking skills in English, focusing on how my flexibility, adaptability, and soft skills have helped me face challenges in an academic context.
I started by writing a script, where I reflected on my personal experiences as a student. In general, I described myself as a responsible person who never had major problems attending classes or completing assignments. However, I shared an always difficult challenge for me.
In the audio, I explained that presenting in front of my classmates was manageable, but reading an essay or performing in front of the entire school or on stage caused me a lot of anxiety. To overcome this, I used strategies such as practicing the script repeatedly and mentally preparing myself to reduce nervousness. I also reflected on how the fear of failure held me back from participating in fun activities. I used phrases such as:
-
“If I hadn’t been so nervous in front of the public, I would have participated in fun activities that many of my friends did.”
I also mentioned that while I don’t yet have work experience, I recognize that socialization and communication skills are essential in the workplace, this activity helped me develop fluency, practice past tense, conditional sentences, and express personal reflections clearly and confidently in spoken English.
