Video Activities
In this section, all the video evidence activities will be described.
1. Video Activity - Presenting a Person
For this activity, I created a video presentation with the objective of introducing someone I know, in my case, I chose to present my brother. I started by writing the script in English, making sure to use simple present tense and basic sentence structures with subject, verb, and predicate.
After writing the script, I recorded my voice narrating the information. Then, I designed a visual presentation using Canva, where I included images and key points about my brother. Finally, I edited and combined the audio and the presentation into a single video.
In the video, I gave basic information about my brother, such as his name, age, place of birth, where he studied, his degree, and his current job (software developer at Globant). I also talked about his likes and hobbies to give a more personal touch.
This activity helped me practice creating basic sentence structures in English using the simple present tense, and improved my skills in writing, speaking, and digital presentation.

2. Video Activity - Interview
For the video, I created a mock job interview video in English. I played both roles: the interviewer and the interviewee. First, I wrote the full script for the interview, making sure the questions and answers reflected a realistic and professional conversation. Then, I recorded my voice for both roles and used visual aids in the video to highlight and summarize the key points of my answers. The final product was edited into a complete video using digital tools.
The interview covered several common job interview questions:
-
Tell us about yourself:
I introduced myself as Juan Angarita, a 24-year-old Multimedia Engineer with a strong passion for programming, especially in Python and web development. I talked about my academic background and my experience in solving problems through code. -
What motivates you?
I shared that I am motivated by continuous learning and personal growth as a developer, and by the satisfaction of building innovative solutions. -
What are your hobbies?
I explained that I enjoy reading and studying new programming tools. I also mentioned casual hobbies like video games and board games, which help improve my critical thinking. -
What are your future plans if you get this job?
I expressed my goal of becoming a senior developer and eventually taking on leadership roles, like team leader or software architect. -
What are your career goals?
I shared my long-term dream of starting a software development company with my brother, who is a mobile developer. -
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I see myself as a senior developer with deep expertise in Python and modern web frameworks like Angular or React, hopefully leading a development team at an international company.
This activity helped me practice English speaking skills, structure professional answers, and develop confidence for real job interviews, all while using digital tools to present the information clearly and effectively.

3. Video Activity – Tourist Place Presentation
In this case, I created a video presentation about a tourist place that I really like. The place I chose was Villa de Leyva, a historical town located in Colombia. First, I wrote the script for the video, then I recorded my voice narrating the content. I also created a visual presentation using Canva, combining images and key points to support the narration. Finally, I edited and put everything together into a complete video.
In the video, I explained the location of Villa de Leyva and described its architecture, atmosphere, and several points of interest. I gave special attention to the Casa de Terracota, one of the most unique and iconic attractions in the area.
At the end of the video, I shared my personal connection to Villa de Leyva. It is a very important place for me and my family, since we have gone there for vacations many times and we have beautiful memories of our time together in this peaceful town. I described it as a place that brings a feeling of calm and greatness.
This activity helped me practice the use of comparative and superlative structures in English, such as describing Villa de Leyva as one of the most beautiful and peaceful towns I’ve visited, and describing how important it´s for me and my family.
